Have you ever had a traveling art show come to your town ?

At the end of October I took UrbanPastures Art to Houston Texas for a show in the home of Carl and Joyce Wheeler on October 28. These dear friends of over forty years have supported and cheered me on in my art work. In June they offered to host a art show in their home in Houston. They invited guests, cooked, cleaned and bought more art to add to their collection. Among the guests were dear friends who I knew when I lived in Houston as well as getting to know new friends. All the art was shipped a week before the show via Fed Ex. When I arrived we hung art, laughed, cleaned and made sure everything was in order. The show included paintings, embossed metal , hanging birds and beads, pendants, Christmas ornaments, and angels.

Dru managed the sales table and Leslie baked the most delicious cookies and blue cheese biscuits.

On October 31 they flew to Greece for a vacation.

I’m sure they needed one but I was told the trip had been planned a year ago ahead of the art show.

Indeed the show was a wonderful event due to their generosity, love and generous guests. It all seemed so easy and everyone had a delightful time.

Thank you Carl and Joyce and all my Houston friends old and new.

My next show is Saturday, November 17 and Sunday, November 18 at my home here in Helena,

316 N. Oregon Ave.

All who live in the Helena area are most welcome to attend.
