Decorative Bird Houses

Welcome to the Neighborhood!

Decorative Hanging bird houses are what every neighborhood needs. Here are a few charming little homes that just happen to be filled with colorful birdhouses!

Meet Dew Drop Inn, Soaring Heights, Fly By Inn, Cozy Home, and Sky View Inn. Each little house has its own personality, colors, and patterns, making it a one-of-a-kind piece of handmade art.

I hand-paint each wooden birdhouse with colorful collage papers and acrylic paint. Then, I add four coats of protective varnish to give the surface a beautiful finish and help it stand up to everyday outdoor conditions.

But the fun doesn't stop with the house! I create each hanging strand from sturdy fishing line and embellish it with colorful beads, small corks, and a tiny bell. The beads add even more color and movement, while the little bell brings a playful touch whenever the breeze comes along.

Each birdhouse measures approximately 5" high x 4.75" wide. With the beaded hanging strand, the entire piece measures approximately 24–30 inches from top to bottom.

I also add a brightly colored decorative disk over the birdhouse opening. It becomes another cheerful design element while giving the front of each house a finished look.

You can hang these whimsical birdhouses indoors or outdoors. They look especially delightful on a porch, in a garden, near a window, or anywhere that could use a little extra color and personality.

Best of all, no two are exactly alike. I vary the papers, colors, patterns, beads, and other details as I create each one. That means the birdhouse that finds its way to you will truly be your own little work of art.

Please note: These birdhouses are decorative art pieces rather than functional nesting boxes.
