When Have you explored an item of beauty?

Exploring the world of flowers has been a road filled with beauty and surprises this spring. My evening stroll through the neighborhood is filled with greenery and color as the spring season continues to unfold into summer. Everywhere I walk I see new plant life emerging from the ground which not long ago was a frozen tundra. Flowers and fresh greens always ignite a sense of hope in me. It seems wherever beauty is to be found there is hope by her side. As we honor those who have died with a bouquet of beautiful flowers this Memorial Day may it renew in us a sense of hope that a life filled with love is stronger than death. I hope your Memorial Day is filled with both beauty and hope as you remember those who have died.

Below are a few photos from my latest walk through the neighborhood. I have also included a photo of a wonderful surprise I had in my exploration of flower painting.

I am not sure what the yellow  flowers are called

but the purple are Lilacs.

My painting surprise was a wonderful commission from my cousin Deirdre Meyer and her husband Dirk. They requested  a large 20 x 34 inch painting of  The Garden Poppies I had posted a few weeks ago. The painting will hang in their home in Munich Germany. Painting flowers this large was pure fun and I felt like a child that had been set loose in the sand box to play. Thank You Deirdre and Dirk.
