January is almost over but Ole Man Winter has been a constant companion here in Montana. Snow and below freezing temperatures have been the new normal for over 5 weeks and it looks like February maybe the same. For sure the snow has been a constant reminder to lavish acts of kindness on others. While getting outside has been a challenge I have enjoyed my time inside to organize and clean the art studio and set new art goals for 2017. One of my many art goals is to learn new painting techniques and processes. So for the last 4 weeks I have enjoyed playing and exploring with new types of paints, acrylic ink, and gel mediums. Here are just a few of the paintings I have created. I am enjoying some of the results that have resulted from my explorations. I hope they will brighten your winter days as well.

The First Micro Mystery for 2017

This Artist worked in many art mediums, painting, sculpture, collage and had a love for fabrics.

Below you will see a small portion of a piece of art work which is a clue to a larger masterpiece. If you know the work or the artist or both you can email me your answers by clicking here with the title and the name of the artist. Then if you know something interesting about the artist or the work you can enter it as a clue in the comment section below which can help others find out who the artist is and what the title of the work is. The name of the artist and the title of the work should not be included in the clue. This will help keep everyone in the game until I reveal the correct answers on Friday.  Good Luck to all who participate.
